Mangaluru, Nov 27, 2014 : A Carnatic Music Festival organised by the Sangeetha Parishat, Mangaluru in association with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Mangalore University, will begin at Ravindra Kalabhavan of University College on November 27, Thursday(Today).
The event will kick-start with a concert by emerging singer Shradha Kote from Belthangady, the recipient of the first prize in the junior level by the Parishat. There will also be a vocal recital by R.K. Padmanabha.
The event will feature among others renowned vocalist RK Padmanabha, child artiste Ramana Balachandran, vocalists Ranjani and Gayatri and Kunnakudi Balamuralikrishna from Chennai.
On November 28, Friday there will be a vocal concert by Deeksha Devesh, a winner in the senior level contest conducted by the Parishat.
Child prodigy Balachandran will present his performance on November 29, Saturday at 4 pm.
On Sunday, the event will be held at Karnataka Bank Auditorium beginning from 10 am. Senior vocalist M Narayana will be honoured at the valedictory ceremony.
