338 students absent for II PUC exam in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru, March 05, 2020:  A total of 24,699 students appeared for II PUC examinations conducted across 51 examination centres in Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday.

On the first day, 25,037 students were supposed to appear for History, Basic Mathematics and Physics examinations. But 338 students were absent, the deputy director of PU Education department, Mohammed Imthiyaz H K, told DH.

As many as 251 students out of the 10,987 students writing History examinations remained absent. In Basic Mathematics, four out of 826 students remained absent. Out of 13,224 students registered for Physics exam, 83 were absent.

No incidents of examination malpractices were reported from the 51 centres, sources added.
