316 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK; 226 cases in Udupi on September 3

Mangaluru, September 3, 2020: 316 people from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and 226 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, September 3, 2020. Three more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK and four in Udupi district today.

Among the 316 new cases in DK, 190 are from Mangaluru, 40 from Bantwal, 21 from Puttur, 16 each from Sullia and Beltangady and 33 are from outside DK district. As many as 208 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 13,795. As many as 10,706 persons have been discharged and 2,705 cases are currently active. 384 deaths have occurred including 3 deaths today.

Udupi district has reported 226 fresh cases on Thursday. Among them, 137 are from Udupi, 59 from Kundapur, 25 from Karkala and five from outside the district. Now, the Udupi has a total of 12,150 cases with 2,115 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 9,929 patients recovered and discharged including 328 today. The district has reported 106 COVID-19 fatality.
