The event commenced with a maha puja to Shri Cheerumbha Bhagavathi, followed by a bali utsava, as part of which the idol of Shri Cheerumbha Bhagavathi was taken around the temple in a palanquin.

A maha pooja was offered to Shri Padangara Bhagavathi on the second day, followed by a Betikala. The 3 deities were taken at midnight in a procession to the Bhagavathi Katte, a platform near Canara College, and then taken back to the temple for the Kenda Seve, a special worship offered by the temple priests with spiritual weapons to the goddess. A devotee offering Kenda Seve walks barefoot over a bed of burning coals. A bed of coals was prepared in the temple premises and the priests took a brisk walk over it to overcome fear and regain their personal power.

Deputy Speaker N. Yogesh Bhat inaugurated the cultural events and said that people come to temples to witness the power of the deities and receive their blessings. The devotees witnessed the priest dance to the tune of musical instruments while carrying the deities on his head.

A number of cultural programmes such as Tulu dramas, dance performances, and musical concerts were held during these 3 days.
