The thee had arrived at the beach at 4:30 p.m. along with their relatives Mahesh, Dhanush, Nithesh, and Prashanth of Hoigebailu in Urwa Store. They had come to Mangalore to observe the final rites of their grandmother.

Reportedly, the local people warned the group not to get into the sea because of the high tide, but nobody in the group listened to the warning.
The Panambur police have already rushed to the spot and local swimmers are now looking for the lost youth.
