Mangaluru, sep 12, 2017 : The 3D Planetarium at Dr Shivaram Karanth Biological Park at Pilikula to open its gates to public in December this year, says State Minister for Planning, Statistics, Science and Technology M R Seetharam on his vist to Mangaluru.
Addressing the media at DC Office Minister said that ,The 3D Planetarium will be the first of its kind in India considering its technical specifications. The estimated cost of project will beRs 35.69 crore. The Planetarium will have all modern innovations coupled with 3D technology to present students and enthusiasts the best learning experience on Planet.
He also said that , the new Pilikula Planetarium will be of unidirectional with a dome diameter of 18 meters. About 150 - 180 seats may be fixed based on the size and type of chairs. He will be visiting the city once agin in October this year to see through the developmnet work of the planetarium.
