2 law interns file sexual harassment, threat complaint against advocate

Mangaluru, Oct 19, 2021: Two law students, have lodged a complaint at the Women’s Police Station against  Special Public Prosecutor K S N Rajesh of the Lokayukta division, alleging that he has sexually harassed and threatened them.

 

City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said two separate complaints, one of sexual harassment and another of threat has been lodged by the girls.

 He said the issue has been considered seriously and Mangaluru South ACP Ranjith has been  asked to investigate the case.

The Commissioner said the advocate has also lodged a complaint at the Urwa police station three days ago alleging that the girl was blackmailing him for monetary gains.

Audio viral : Meanwhile, an audio clip of 11 minutes and 55 seconds duration  of a conversation purportedly between the victim and the advocate wherein a voice said to be that of the advocate is heard stating that he has erred once and asking forgiveness and also pursuading the girl to  visit his office for internship. However the girl’s voice says she does not want to see his face and he being  a father of two girls, has erred.

 The advocate however has maintained that this was an attempt to tarnish his image and that the police have not taken any action based on his complaint.
