2 deaths, 30 new Covid-19 cases in DK, Udupi reports 23

Mangaluru, Nov 17, 2020:    Dakshina Kannada district recorded 30 fresh Covid-19 cases on Tuesday and taking the total cases in the district to 31,339.

 

Two more fatalities were recorded in the district, taking the tally of deaths to 696. The district has 681 active cases undergoing treatment at hospitals, Covid care centres and in home isolation. A total of 29,962 infected have recovered and been discharged.

As many as 3,04,173 samples have been tested in Dakshina Kannada district so far. The officials have booked 13,245 mask violation cases in the district and collected a fine of 14,34,717 so far.

Udupi

As many as 23 people were found infected with Covid-19 in Udupi, taking the total number of cases in the district to 22,400 as on Tuesday.

As many as 36 patients were discharged in the district on Tuesday, while there are 211 active cases.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far in the district.
