’Unique’ security guard of Alva’s Hospital passes away

Mangaluru, Dec 2, 2014 : A popular security guard at Alva’s Hospital in Moodbidri who was known for his unique style of dressing  and  who had won the hearts of many  is no more. Karkala Banglegudde Radhakrishna Nayak passed away on December 2,  at KMC in the city where he was undergoing treatment for a heart problem.

Popularly known as RK Nayak,  he worked at Alva’s Hospital for nearly 15 years. Nayak was 54. He was  quite a popular personality with his well-built body, unique dressing style and thick moustache. People thronged him during the Alva’s events and many just loved to click photos with him.A friendly man that he was, even Nayak used to  enjoy the company of many people who came to him, shook hands with him and took photographs.

But of late, he suffered from a heart ailment and was initially treated in Alva’s Hospital and was shifted to KMC a few days ago.

It is learnt Nayak who initially worked in a hotel in Hyderabad had even given a try in celluloid and had acted as assistant villain in nearly four films. However, he returned to his hometown after he was injured while acting in a film. He tried his luck in hotel business but it did not go the right way. It was then that he joined Alva’s Hospital as a security guard.
