‘Suicide’ of Vignesh Nayak suspicious: Narendra Nayak

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangaluru, Nov 23, 2020:  Vignesh Nayak resident of Dhanwantari nagar, V T Road had allegedly committed suicide at 11.30 pm on the 23rd IST. While suicides are happening due to a number of reasons, this seems to be a strange one because his marriage was to be in the next month!  The other facts of interest are that his residence is on V T Road close to that of the accused no 1 of the sensational RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case.

In fact he had been missing along with the accused no 1 who was on the run at that time. It was not just he who was missing. The present MLA Sri Vedavyasa Kamath had also gone on a tour ‘abroad’ at the same time as the attached ad would certify.

Another point of note is that the Qualis car which was used in the murder to ferry the killers was in the name of the deceased Vignesh Nayak. So, it is clear that he knew more about this case but he was not questioned by the police. Now, it is too late. He is beyond questioning now. Is the handiwork of those who wanted to silence him? A young man who was to be married soon committing suicide? That too after being seen in the nearby Vithoba Temple where a round the clock bhajan is still going on? Did the loud noise of it hide any loud arguments?

Anuradha Baliga sister of victim Vinayak Baliga has been running from pillar to post to seek justice for her murdered brother. Fearing an investigation would reveal the whole plot behind his murder was Vignesh Nayak silenced? The family of Vinayak Baliga and we who are seeking justice for him demand an answer from the police, we demand an investigation into the circumstances behind his alleged suicide.

This is from July,2016 when the accused Naresh Shenoy was arrested and produced before the court.

“The IO also informed the court that they needed to question the accused regarding the whereabouts of Vignesh Nayak, owner of a multi-utility vehicle that Naresh is said to have used for commission of murder. They also need to visit few more places with Naresh and seize documents related to the murder. Magistrate Manjunath who permitted his custody till July 2, allowed his lawyers to file objections to police request to subject him to polygraph, brain mapping and narco tests”.
