‘Konkani Darshan’ Launched at Mandd Sobhann

Mangaluru, May 30,2017: A news release from  Mandd Sobhann informs that at the Concluding Ceremony of the 3-days’ Residential Dance Workshop on May 28, 2017. At the ’Nach-Nritya’ Dance conducted by Nach Sobhann, in association with Mandd Sobhann; the muhurat of ‘Konkani Darshan’,  a 90 minute song and dance presentation, depicting the history and cultural range of Konkani, was launched.

Eminent trainers trained the 32 participants in the various forms of dancing.   Elton Mascarenhas (Bollywood),  Rami Nair (Samba/ Bachata), Vidushi Vani Rajagopal (Bharatnatyam) and Gurkar Eric Ozario (Konkani dance forms).

 

 

 Pramod Alva – Dancer, Dance Director and Choreographer of ‘India’s Got Talent’ fame conducted  muhurat by displaying the teaser prepared by Shri Ashith Pinto of Dubai. He has been assigned with the  important task of directing the 20 dances in ‘Konkani Darshan’.  As this show involves live dancing by the Nach Sobhann artistes in the foreground, with the story unfolding  through a movie displayed in the background.  Harry Fernandes, successful Movie Director of  ‘Noshibacho Khell’ and ‘Sophiya’, and many other Bhojpuri and Marathi movies, has been assigned the  work of the movie section. ‘Sangeet Guru’ Joel Pereira is working on the story line. He will also be in  charge of the musical elements assisted by ‘Vishwa Konkani Kala Ratn’ Eric Ozario. The Background  Music will be handled by Alwyn Fernandes, Guitar Maestro.

This big budget show will take 6 months to produce. The first show is scheduled at Kalaangann, on Jan.7, 2018, at the 193 rd Monthly Theater, after which the show will go on the road, presenting shows in India and overseas too.
