New Delhi, August 20, 2014: Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Tuesday said he would not share stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 21 to inaugurate Nagpur Metro.

prithviraj cha..He made this announcement after Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was booed away by the crowd in Kaithal while he was sharing the stage with PM Modi.

In a telephonic conversation with Aaj Tak he said: " PM Modi had crossed the line earlier also. I remained silent to honour the post of the Prime Minister. But he is continuously giving political flavour to government functions. I may not go to the function with him."

The Haryana Chief Minister faced an unpleasant situation in Kaithal on Tuesday when the crowd shouted slogans against him while he was addressing a rally in the presence of the Prime Minister.

As Hooda hurriedly continued to read out from his prepared speech, Modi, who reached Kaithal on Tuesday by a helicopter, waved to the crowds urging them to maintain composure.

However, the crowds were in no mood to pay heed and continued to interrupt the chief minister during his speech, which was completely inaudible.

The crowds shouted anti-Hooda and pro-Modi slogans during the event. They were shouting "Modi Modi" even though it was an official function organised by the National Highways Authority of India.

A furious Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that he will never share the stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Meanwhile, according to sources the Congress high command has advised the chief ministers to avoid sharing stage with the Prime Minister.
