In the clip, Praveen can be seen climbing while trying to get the grip of rocks that are coming off. While he manages to safely stand on a rock after the first attempt, on further climbing he loses the clutch and falls down as some rocks come down. The cops confirmed that Tiwari did not have any safety ropes attached while climbing. The resident of Jabalpur had recently joined ICSSR.

A senior police official was quoted as saying, "He slipped and fell and was taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. There was no foul play as his friend was recording a video, which has captured the incident." Tiwari fell and hit his head on a stone leading to severe injuries. Tiwari was immediately rushed to the hospital and was declared dead. While Tiwari climbed the rocks, his friend recorded the video.

The person capturing the clip can be heard asking Tiwari how to managed to climb and if he had previous experience in it. Tiwari in reply can be heard saying that the best part of climbing is that there were no lizards or snakes in the rock cracks. The friend can be then heard comparing him to a Lakshya, a Bollywood movie character when he suddenly falls down.
