The Bharatiya Janata Party will conduct its legislative party meeting at 10 AM. Cm Kumarawamy will move the trust vote at 12:15 PM.

Deputy chief minister G Parameshwara on Thursday said that the Congress-JD(S) coalition was yet to decide if the chief minister Kumaraswamy will remain the CM for a full 5-year term. "We have not yet discussed those modalities," he said.

Director General of Police Neelamani Raju has briefed CM Kumaraswamy on the security arrangements before the swearing-in ceremony.

In a massive show of strength, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, president Rahul Gandhi, CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and BSP supremo Mayawati were among a galaxy of opposition leaders who attended the swearing-in ceremony of HD Kumaraswamy. Congress-JD(S) Combine Keeps its Flock Together

The Congress-JD(S) combine, with 117 MLAs, 6 more than the magic figure of 111, has been protecting its legislators against the alleged poaching efforts by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The coalition has accused the BJP of offering a huge amount of money to its MLAs to switch sides during the trust vote.
