The Delhi Police beefed up security in border areas of Delhi in view of the Bharat Bandh called by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha on Monday to protest the Centre’s three contentious farm laws.

Commuters have also been facing difficulty as farmers at the Singhu border blocked 14 entry and exit points on the Delhi-Haryana route.

The agitation also led to a traffic jam at the Delhi-Gurugram border. Several vehicles were seen stuck at the border.

Farmers also reached the Bahadurgarh railway station in Haryana where they shouted slogans on railway tracks.

A farmer said the Shambhu border (Punjab-Haryana border) has also been blocked till 4 pm. Many non-NDA parties have extended support to the nationwide 10-hour strike. SKM on Sunday appealed for complete peace during the Bandh and urged all Indians to join the strike.
