Mangalore Today News Network

Bengaluru, DH News, May 25 2017: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested two couples including three Pakistani nationals (two women) who were staying using fake identities over the last nine months.

fake IDsThe arrested were identified as Mohammad Shihab, a resident of Kerala, Sameera who claims to be his wife and native of Karachi, and another couple Kiron Gulam Ali, a friend of Sameera, from Karachi and a man claiming to be Kiron’s husband Khasif Samshuddin, also a native of Karachi.

According to police, Shihab who had gone to Qatar for work fell in love with Sameera. When Shihab approached her parents, they refused that she cannot be married to an Indian. Both of them then decided to come to India and settle.

Meanwhile, Sameera’s friend Kiron too was in love with a Pakistani man, Khasif Samshuddin in Qatar, where all the four worked. As both Kiran’s parents and Samshuddin’s parents were against their love and marriage, they too along with Shihab-Sameera couple decided to come and settle in India.

They came to Bengaluru from Qatar through Kathmandu. The two couples have been living in the house over the last nine months.

The police received information about their presence in the city arrested them on Wednesday night. They also found original IDs on the three Pakistani citizens like Aadhar card and a few other identities that were procured after furnishing fake information.

A local also is involved in helping the two couples here to settle down and get their identities, police sources said.

Preliminary investigations reveal the couples have taken refuge in Bengaluru at the behest of the Keralite man Shihaab who offered to help them. Shihab, before finding a job and going to Qatar, was staying in KS Layout in the city.

FIR has been registered and the four have been booked under several sections of the Passport Act and the Foreigner’s Act. Central agencies have been kept in the loop by the local police who are investigating.
Further investigations are underway.
