2 LeT militants gunned down by security forces in Kashmir’s Anantnag district

Srinagar, Feb 22, 2020: Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were gunned down by security forces in an encounter in Sangam in Anantnag district in South Kashmir.
The exchange of fire started between security forces and the militants at Sangam in Bijbehara late on Friday night.
"Cordon and search operation was launched in Gundbaba Sangam on Friday evening on specific input about presence of militants in area during which two militants of LeT were killed," Inspector General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Vijay Kumar said.
One of the killed LeT militants has been identified as local commander Furkan.
