‘Will behead Muslims who are harassing Tribal Women’: Telangana BJP MP Soyam Bapu Rao

Adilabad, Jun 24, 2019 : Triggering a controversy, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Adilabad, Soyam Bapu said that he will behead Muslim youths who allegedly harass Adivasi female in the tribal district in Telangana. Following this statement, Minority leader complained to the police for Soyam Bapu’s objectionable remark. Congress Minority leader Saajid Khan has lodged a complaint with Adilabad Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kancha Mohan. In the complaint, Khan said that the Saffron cadre leader should apologise and take back his words. The Congress leader also condemned the remark and said that “despite being an MP, Bapu Rao was making a false allegation against the youth of minority community and his comments are against the law and order, which is not acceptable.”

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader M Krishank made a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi after Bapu Rao’s statement. "Even though PM Modi says Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, his own MP has made such a comment in a desperate bid to enter Telangana, " he said reported India Today.
