‘Will Cooperate on Dealing With Radical Islamic Terrorism’: Trump

Feb 25, 2020: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, in their joint statement after holding talks on Tuesday, 25 February, pointed to advancing defence cooperation between the two countries, including the purchase of military equipment worth $3 billion dollars by India.

"Defence cooperation between two countries is reflective of rising strategic partnership between India and US," PM Modi said.

Speaking to the media earlier on Tuesday, Trump said it was a "great honour" for him to visit India and see thousands of people gathered to welcome him. "People love you here," he told PM Modi, who also thanked Trump for visiting India at his invitation.
