YediyurappaNew Delhi, Nov 5: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa who is presently in New Delhi is expected to hold a series of meetings with the top brass of the BJP on Thursday. As of now no amicable solution has been reached and the Karnataka dead lock continues to pose a major head ache to the BJP leadership.

The Chief Minister however is putting up a brave front and time and again says that he is confident that the impasse would end soon and also that the BJP government would complete its full five year term. Yeddyurappa seems to be more optimistic as the high command is still in favour of his leadership and has until now not succumbed to pressure from the rebel Reddy brothers. Meanwhile, reports said Yeddyurappa who is firm on sticking to the Chief Ministerial chair, has come out with a fresh compromise formula. Though the CM has plans to meet the rebel Reddys on Thursday, Tourism Minister Janardhan Reddy has made it clear that there is no question of talks with Yeddyurappa.

On Wednesday, Yeddyurappa held talks with several senior leaders including  former BJP President Venkaiah Naidu and  BJP General Secretary and MP Ananth Kumar. He also had a  first time interaction with the Vidhana Sabha Speaker Jagadish Shettar since the dissidence cropped up. Shettar is being projected as a chief ministerial candidate by the rebel Reddys.
