With 60,471 cases, India reports lowest infections in 75 days, 2,726 deaths

New Delhi, Jun 15, 2021: India on Tuesday registered 60,471 new coronavirus cases, the lowest in about 77 days, pushing the Covid caseload in the country to 2.95 crore, according to the Union health ministry. The Covid death toll has climbed to over 3.77 lakh as 2,726 patients died in the past 24 hours.

 

With 1,17,525 discharges in a single day, the recovery rate of India now stands at 95.64 per cent, as per the Union health ministry. There are 9,13,378 Covid active cases in India.

The top five states that have registered the maximum Covid cases in the past 24 hours are Tamil Nadu with 12,772 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 8,129 cases, Kerala with 7,719 cases, Karnataka with 6,835 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 4,549 cases.
