Teen killed, 3 injured in Pak firing in Jammu and Kashmir’s samba

Jammu, Nov 01, 2016:  A civilian was killed and three others were injured on Tuesday morning in indiscriminate shelling by Pakistani Rangers along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, police said.

A 19-year-old girl was hit by a mortar splinter died in Jerda village, while the three others were injured critically in Pindi Charka village, police officials said.

"Pakistani troops resorted to indiscriminate targeting of civilian and defence facilities in Ramgarh sector," the police official said.

Pakistan has extended the indiscriminate firing that started in Jerda to Pindi and Nai Basti areas in Ramgarh sector.

"The BSF is retaliating effectively and heavy shelling and firing exchanges are going on," the official added.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army resorted to heavy shelling and firing at Indian positions in Naushera sector of the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district on Tuesday.
