Shatabdi express knocks down 7 persons at Gurgaon

picGURGAON, Nov 3:  In a gory mishap reported from a village called Heli Mandi near Pataudi in Gurgaon early Tuesday morning, seven persons lost their lives when they were run over by the New Delhi- Ajmer Shatabdi Express. According to railway sources the accident took place when the seven persons  were crossing the tracks between Pataudi and Jatauli stations.

Initial reports said angry villagers have surrounded the train forcing the train driver, guard and the station master to flee the scene. Reports also said that the train has been stranded since the past three hours. This in turn has disrupted rail traffic on the section. Thousands of villagers are learnt to have gathered at the site of the mishap.
