Militants slit throat of civilian in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora: Police

Kashmir, May 25, 2018 : A civilian was killed by militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Thursday, police said.

 

Three-to-four militants forced their way into the house and slit the throat of Muhammad Yaqoob Wagay in the Hajin area of north Kashmir.

Wagay, a butcher, died immediately, a police officer said, adding that a case has been registered.

At least two policemen and a civilian were injured in a grenade attack by militants at the Jammu Bus Stand late on Thursday night.

The incidents come after the home ministry announced a unilateral ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir during the month of Ramzan on the insistence of chief minister Mehbooba Mufti.
