Karnataka’s Nandini dairy brand to sponsor Ireland, Scotland at T20 World Cup 2024

Bengaluru, April 23, 2024: The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), known for its Nandini brand of dairy products, has announced its sponsorship of the Scotland and Ireland teams for the upcoming T20 Cricket World Cup.

Scheduled to be co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States from June 1-29, the T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 boasts a record 20 teams participating in this year’s edition of the Twenty20 cricket championship.

In addition to sponsoring the teams, KMF is set to introduce Nandini Splash, an energy drink derived from whey, in the US market during the tournament, according to the Managing Director of KMF.

Talking to India today KMF managing director MK Jagadish said, "It’s true. We are going to sponsor both the cricket teams for World Cup. We want to come out with energy-based drinks. In this World Cup, we want to make it as a focus product. It’ll go world-wide".

T20 WORLD CUP SCHEDULE

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to be a historic event as it will be co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States of America from June 1 to June 29, 2024. USA vs Canada will be playing the first match of the tournament. This marks the first time that an ICC World Cup tournament will feature matches played in the United States. 55 matches will be played across 9 venues in the tournament.

The 2024 edition of the T20 World Cup will see an expansion in the number of participating teams, with 20 national teams competing, up from 16 in the previous tournament. The teams will initially be divided into four groups of five, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super 8 stage.
