Jallikattu likely in two days: CM Panneerselvam

Jan 20, 2017: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam today said that a draft ordinance seeking an amendment of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, has been sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The ordinance will be issued after getting President’s assent in a day or two.

He also asked the protesters to withdraw the agitation.

Celebritries came in support of the issues. Music composer AR Rahman tweeted that he would fast on Friday to support the spirit of Tamil Nadu.
