At least three terrorists allegedly crossed over into Hiranagar in Jammu a little before 5 am and then drove to Gurdaspur in Punjab, 85 km away.

The terrorists, wearing army uniforms, attacked a bus station and stormed a police station in Dinanagar, killing three persons, wounding at least six and taking an unknown number of hostages.

Five bombs were also found on a railway track in the state where India fought Sikh insurgency in the 1980s.
