HDK may quit House panel on power purchases

Bengaluru, May 05,2015, DHNS: JD(S) floor leader in the Assembly H D Kumaraswamy said on Tuesday that he might resign as a member of the legislature committee which is probing irregularities in power purchases.

He is scheduled to meet Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa in the next couple of days to submit his resignation.

Speaking to reporters, Kumaraswamy said, “The committee headed by Energy Minister D K Shivakumar has not been able to study any of the records or reports. Whatever documents we have requested for have not been submitted to the committee. The panel is not serving any purpose”.
