FIR against actor Kamal Rashid Khan for harassing female actors online

New Delhi, July 30, 2016: A FIR was lodged again actor Kamal Rashid Khan aka KRK in Versova Police Station in Mumbai for posting obscene messages and photos on micro-blogging site Twitter.

This came after lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui filed a complaint against the self-proclaimed critic for making lewd remarks against female models and actors on the social media platform.

According to some media reports, Maharashtra State Women Commission (MSWC) earlier took cognizance of the complaint and demanded action against Khan.

In a letter addressed to Mumbai’s Police Commissioner, Dattatray Padsalgikar on July 18, the MSWC requested authorities to probe the matter and take requisite action. The MSWC sent the letter a week after the National Commission of Women (NCW) issued a directive against the controversial actor.

Reports suggest that the actor reportedly sexually harassed over 18 female actors on social media.
