Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh is yet to wrap up his arguments against bail for Aryan Khan. The hearing is expected to resume post 11 am on Thursday.

Earlier, on Monday, the court had directed the Narcotics Control Bureau to file its reply to Aryan’s bail plea on Wednesday. The NCB opposed Aryan Khan’s bail plea in court on Wednesday.

Aryan Khan’s lawyer Amit Desai argued for bail for his client for one and a half hours. He argued, "Aryan did not have cash to buy drugs. Aryan did not have substance to sell and Aryan did not have substance to consume." The lawyer stated that no drugs were found with Aryan and asked, "Where is the conspiracy?"

He also said that there was nothing new in the NCB’s reply to the bail plea.
Finally, he stated, "The law has to be reformative, this is not the way to do it. They are not drug peddlers. They have suffered enough."

Meanwhile, Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh argued against bail for Aryan Khan. He said that the entire nation is concerned about drug use and it is not just about one person’s consumption because the NCB has to catch the ’gang’ that is operating.

He said that even if Aryan simply knew about his friend Arbaaz Merchantt possessing drugs, it is as good as him having possessed them himself.

Further, he said that the release of any accused would hamper the investigation. He also stated that the NCB had found chats in which a commercial quantity of hard drugs is being discussed by Aryan Khan and a foreign national. It is unknown whether these chats are related to the Mumbai cruise case.

Aryan Khan was arrested after the NCB conducted a raid on the Cordelia Cruises’ Empress ship off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday night. A rave party was allegedly taking place on the ship and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son was on board. No drugs were found on him, as per an NCB official.

He was sent to 14-day judicial custody on October 7.

NCB sleuths said they seized 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) and Rs 1.33 lakh in cash during the raid.

Seven others were arrested with Aryan Khan, namely Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra, Nupur Satija, and Vikrant Chhokar. A total of twenty people have been arrested in the case so far, including foreign nationals and alleged drug peddlers.
