China’s first driverless metro set to start from 2017

China, Aug 31, 2016: China is set to start their first driverless subway line in the capital city of Beijing from the end of 2017.

The operation on the line will be fully automatic, including departures, door opening and closing as well as cleaning. The train will use only domestic technologies that they have been developing since 2010 and has mastered the core technologies.
