Blast in naya bazar of Delhi’s chandni chowk, 1 reported dead

New Delhi, Oct 25, 2016:  One person has died and several are reported injured in an explosion in a wholesale market in old Delhi.

A garbage picker was killed after he picked up a jute bag in which the explosion took place in in the Naya Bazar or market of Chandni Chowk, a bustling commercial area which is a maze of congested lanes.

Senior police officers are at the location of the explosion.
