BJP’s Om Birla elected Lok Sabha Speaker, PM Modi escorts him to chair

New Delhi, Jun 19, 2019 : The BJP’s senior lawmaker Om Birla unanimously chosen the new Lok Sabha Speaker today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi moved the motion to choose him. The opposition had supported his candidature yesterday.

 

The two-time lawmaker from Rajasthan’s Kota is considered close to party chief and home minister Amit Shah.
