Alleged Al Qaeda Operative Arrested By Delhi Police’s Special Cell

Sep 18, 2017: The global jihadi network Al Qaeda’s alleged operative Shomon Haq was arrested by the Delhi Police’s special cell from Vikas Marg on Sunday evening, ANI reported.
   

Haq had allegedly been active with the group for the past four years, DNA reported.
   
In July, Al Qaeda had officially announced the establishment of its unit in Jammu and Kashmir, naming former Hizbul Mujahideen militant Zakir Musa as its chief in the state. The new cell had been named Ansar Ghawzat-ul-Hind.
