After another AAP Leader’s arrest, Kejriwal’s Party hits out At PM Modi again

New Delhi July 31, 2016 : Yet another Aam Aadmi Party lawmaker was arrested by the Delhi Police on Saturday night, taking the total number of arrested party leaders to 12.

 

Sharad Chauhan, a lawmaker from Narela, has been arrested in the suicide case of a party worker Soni.

She had committed suicide on July 19, alleging that she was urged by fellow party worker Ramesh Bhardwaj to "make compromises with her body" to "rise in the party".

She had also alleged that Bhardwaj was being protected by a local MLA.

"Ramesh Bharadwaj forced me to take this extreme step. I do not wish to live any further," she had said in a video statement. She had also filed a complaint against Bhardwaj.

After the arrest, the party has once again accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of targeting its leaders.

"If PM acts with such anger/vengeance then is country safe!," tweeted AAP leader Ashutosh.
