7 killed in Chitradurga road accident

Chitradurga, Apr 30, 2016: Seven persons were killed on the spot when a private passenger vehicle collided with KSRTC bus near Sanikere Heggere village in Challakere taluk of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Jayashri, Shruthi Kori, Sunita, Shanti, Shwetha Kori and the identity of two more persons is yet to be ascertained.

The private passenger vehicle was heading towards Ballari from Bengaluru.

According to police sources the rash and negligent driving by the passenger vehicle driver is said to be the reason for the accident.

A case has been registered in Challakere police station.
