6 Injured in LPG cylinder blast in South Delhi, 8 firetrucks on spot

New Delhi, Aug 08, 2020: At least six people were injured after an LPG cylinder exploded in south Delhi’s Tigri this evening. The blast was reported from a slum in the area. One woman was seriously injured in the blast.

Eight fire trucks rushed to the spot and rescue operations are underway. The blast occurred at around 7pm today.

The injured were taken to hospital and police is present at the spot for relief operations.

"A cooking gas cylinder explosion was reported in a shanty at JJ Camp Tigri at around 7 pm. Around six people, including a woman, were injured," Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Atul Kumar Thakur told news agency PTI.
