6.8 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Pakistan, Tremors Felt Across North India

EarthquakeKasmir, Apr 10, 2016: A massive earthquake on Sunday hit Pakistan and Afghanistan, tremors of which were felt across North India, including Jammu & Kashmir and the national capital.

The epicentre of the earthquake, measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, was 248 km north of Peshawar.

The tremor occurred at 4:00 PM and people in the national capital region rushed out of their homes.

There was no report of any loss of life or damage to property till the last reports came in.

People in Kashmir also felt the tremor.
