30 Quarantined in Pune as authorities race against time to identify Nizamuddin event links

Maharstra, Apr 01, 2020: Thirty people who attended the Tabligh-e-Jamaat event in south Delhi’s Nizamuddin, now identified as a Covid-19 hotspot, have been placed under quarantine in Pune even as other states make a rush for contact tracing to identify possible positive cases, News18 reported.

 

Thousands of participants of the Tablighi Jamaat held earlier this month in Nizamuddin, which is also home to a famous Dargah, reportedly returned to their homes in virtually every state, including Telangana, West Bengal, Karnataka and Gujarat. Many of these states have reported COVID-19 cases linked to this congregation.
