’Kissing Baba’ arrested in Assam for hugging and kissing women on pretext of curing them

Dispur, Aug 24, 2018 : A self-styled godman, Ram Prakash Chauhan, has been arrested in Assam. Known as ’Kissing Baba’, Chauhan used to hug and kiss women on the pretext of curing their physical and psychological problems with his ’supernatural powers’. The baba was arrested on August 22 from Bhoraltup in Assam’s Morigaon.

 

The police also arrested his mother who used to publicise him, saying that her son had "therapeutic powers acquired from Lord Vishnu” and could cure women by hugging and kissing them.

According to reports, Chauhan had set up a temple in Bhoraltup three months ago and was well known for his claim that he could solve women’ problems, including marital discords, by hugging and kissing them.
