Enthusiastic response to Kannada Sangha, Bahrain singing contest

Bahrain, June 20, 2014 : There was an enthusiastic response for the  singing contest for children and adults conducted by the Karnataka State Award winning Kannada Sangha, Bahrain recently. Over 30 talented singers took part in the contest.

 

 

Sushma Venugopal, Charulatha Joshi and Rumana Sayid were the judges. Rajesh Shetty, President of Kannada Sangha, presented mementoes to members of the jury.

 Mohan Edneer, Secretary of Entertainment Committee, Kiran Upadhyaya, Chief Secretary and others were present. The programme was compered by Chethana Hegde.

The winners are :
4 to 8 year category: 1. Harapriya Patil  2. Deepika Kamath
8 to 13 year category: 1. Mahalasa Patil  2. Sameeksha Chakke
13 to 18 year category:1.  Divya Damodar  2.  Sameeksha Shetty
18 and above category:  1. Pratima Shetty  2. B.K. Shetty
