James Mendonca bags Mayura award

jamesSharjah, April 19: James Mendonca, the renowned leader, entrepreneur, and social worker of the Konkani-speaking Catholic community of Mangalore, has bagged the annual “Mayura” award of the Karnataka Sangha Sharjah. 

James Mendonca, the former president of the Mangalore Konkans, has recently received the Rachana NRI Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2009. The Mayura Award will be conferred on him in recognition of his services in the UAE and his achievements as an entrepreneur.

The Mayura awards are conferred annually on prominent personalities in recognition of their contributions in the field of business, arts, music, and literature irrespective of caste, religion, community, and creed. 

Karnataka Sangha Sharjah is a prestigious registered body serving the people of Karnataka, who are working in the UAE. The association will be celebrating its 8th Annual Day on May 14 at Gulf Asian English School in Sharjah.
