Billawara Balaga, Abu Dhabi to celebrate 17th anniversary

Abu Dhabi, March 26, 2013  : The 19th anniversary of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi, one of the oldest Billawa organizations in the Gulf, will be held at Al Dhafra Hareb Hall, Mina Abu Dhabi on May 3.

A variety of programmes  will be organised to mark the great occasion. The Balaga was formed in the year 1994 with the objective of striving for  the betterment of the community members in the region and to foster unity and brotherhood while extending patronage to various activities.

The Balaga has also inspired the formation of various other Billawa associations.

 

 

 

Over the years it has honoured outstanding achievers in various fields and has encouraged talents by staging Tulu plays. It has even been aiding meritorious students hailing from economically backward families  in and around Mangalore  by providing scholarships.
