Krishna Palemar visited Asia’s largest Aquarium in the Dubai Mall

Dubai, 02 April 2010: Mr. Krishna J. Palemar, the Fisheries and Ports Minister in the Karnataka Government and also the Minister in charge of the Dakshina Kannada District visited Asia’s largest Aquarium in the Dubai Mall in the evening of Thursday, 1st April 2010. He was accompanied by some of the members of the Beary Cultural Forum (UAE). Mr. Palemar is in Dubai to attend the World Beary Convention and Mega Cultural Event-Chammana 2010 that is being held for two days on 2nd and 3rd April 2010.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Mr. Palemar who had reached Dubai in the morning of 1st April 2010 met well wishers and acquaintances throughout the day and decided to visit Dubai Mall and see the largest Aquarium of Asia in the Dubai Mall. He was seen walking through the glass tunnel under the aquarium and admiring the fish and the huge glass enclosure with water and thousands of verities of fish. When some of the people from Dakshina Kannada recognised Mr. Palemar and requested for a picture with him, he readily obliged them by standing in front of the Aquarium.

The Aquarium is one of the chief attractions in the Dubai Mall considered to be the largest in Asia. Dubai Mall, which contains 1200 stores, is the largest mall in the Middle East. It is located at the foot of Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world. The Dubai Aquarium is one of the of the largest tanks in the world at 51m x 20m x 11m and featuring the world’s largest viewing panel at 32.8m wide and 8.3m high.
