An EIFF executive inaugurated the programme and spoke on the importance of education in modern times. He also pointed out to the labourers that they could have enjoyed a better job with larger salaries if only they had received a good education. He also spoke of how educated people enjoy more respect, adding that education helps people become good citizens in the country.

He also explained that an educated person has more respect in today’s society and people look upon them with utmost respect. Education also helps an individual to become a good citizen of his country, he said.

The second part of the programme dealt with managing finances, during which the labourers were told how they could manage their finances better by cutting costs and saving more. They were also taught about the importance of saving for the future instead of just living for the day. They were also taught about the evil effects of credit cards and unwanted loans, which forced them to spend a lot of money paying interest.

An interactive session followed the two sessions, after which Mr. Ashraf Dalwai, an executive member of EIFF, concluded the event.

Over 125 labourers from the Al Nimr and surrounding camps participated in the event.

EIFF also conducted programmes at Ryan International School in Sharjah and Bangalore Empire Restaurant in Dubai on June 24 Friday based on the theme of “better family, better society” for families and bachelors.
