ICS to organize musical show featuring Udit Narayan

Kuwait, Jun 9: The Indian Cultural Society (ICS) will organize a musical show titled Mahakta Lamhe featuring popular Indian playback singers Deepa Narayan and Udit Narayan on June 10 Friday at Dr. Kamil Al Rays Auditorium in Kuwait at 7:30 p.m.

Performances by reality show stars Nayan Rathod and Neha Chauhan will also form the highlights of the event. Vidhu P. Nair, the Charge de Affaires of the Embassy of India in Kuwait, will be the chief guest of the event. Prominent personalities of Kuwait will be the guests of honor.

Popular reality show star Nayan Rathod will entertain the audience with his songs and Neha Chauhan, who has featured in reality shows Comedy Circus and Chak De will also be performing.

About Udit Narayan

Udit Narayan’s singing career began in Nepal in the Kathmandu Radio Station. In 1980, Rajesh Roshan, the noted music director, requested him to do the playback singing for the Hindi movie Unees Bees with Mohammed Rafi. He later did playback singing with Baby Preethi in 1983, presenting super hit numbers such as Jeevan Ke Din. He won the Film Fare Award in 1988, after which he became India’s top playback singer, presenting hit numbers such as “Koyal Si Teri Boli,” “Pehla Nasha,” “Jaadu Teri Nazar,” “Tu Mere Saamne,” “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” “Dil To Pagal He,” and many others.

Udit has been the playback singer in over 2,600 Hindi movies and in 15 movies in other Indian languages. He has also acted in Nepali movies “Kusumey Rumal” and “Peerati.” He has released a number of private albums and has performed in 1,100 stage shows both at home and abroad. Udit has to his credit several awards such as Videocon Awards, Pride of India Gold Awards, MTV Best Video Awards, and so on. He won the Padma Shree Award, conferred by the Indian Government.
