Belman parishioners in Dubai celebrate parish feast

Dubai, Jun 4, 2011: The parishioners of Belman met at Al Mas Hotel to celebrate the feast of their patron St. Joseph. The master of ceremony of the event was Ivan D’Souza. The welcome address was delivered by Walter Monteiro, the president of St. Joseph’s Bethkati Belman Dubai.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A cultural show was presented by Cema, Salma, Inish, Velroy, and Ishan. A number of games were played for the benefit of children as well as elders. Toddlers as well as parents enjoyed games such as Gloria Says and Bombing the Cities.

Senora D’Mello, daughter of Shanti and Raymond of Belman, was felicitated for scoring 97.6 percent in science subjects in the XII CBSC exams and for emerging second in UAE. Senora is a good dancer and a Karate black belt holder. Joel D’Souza was also felicitated for winning the first prize in the inter-school swimming competition, held in Dubai this year.

The committee honored the sponsors Raymond D’Mello, John D’Souza, Vincent D’Mello, Ivan Menezes, Ronald Fernandes, Clyed Monteiro, Valerian Mathaias, Vincent, and Robert Aranha.

Walter Nandalike, who is also from Belman, shared his experiences with the audience. A Mangalorean feast was the highlight of this event, which gave the people of Belman the opportunity to get in touch with their classmates, neighbors, and friends.

Anil Cardoza drew the crowds to the dance floor with his lively numbers.
