UAE Prime Minister to visit India today

sheikhUAE, March 11: Seeking to further bolster UAE’s traditionally close bilateral ties with India, Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum is leaving for New Delhi on Thursday, heading a high-level delegation on a two-day visit.


Al Maktoum is also Vice-President of UAE, besides being the ruler of Dubai.


He will be accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Department and Chairman of the Emirates Airlines and Mohammed Sultan al Owais, UAE Ambassador to India besides other senior officials, Emirates official news agency WAM said.


Also accompanying Sheikh Mohammed will be Dubai Police Chief Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim.


Besides, Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Ahmed Humaid al Tayer, Chairman of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation Sultan bin Sulayem will also be present.


Sheikh Mohammed became the Ruler of Dubai on January 4, 2006 and on January 5, the members of the Supreme Council elected him the UAE Vice President.
