Ravindra Prabhu marked the beginning of the day-long event by lighting the lamp and leading the invocation, which was followed by the singing of the “Ganesha Vandane” by Vindhya Pai, Adithi Prabhu, and Prerna Pai. President M. Ramachandra Hegde delivered the welcome address.


The highlight of the event was a saxophone performance by Macchindranath Puttur and Sindhu Bhairavi, who were later facilitated by Ramachandra Hegde and Kalpana Hegde. This was followed by several dance performances such as “Krishna,” choreographed by Anjana Kamath and Shilpa Kamath. A dance performance of “Hum Saath Saath Hai” was choreographed by Shubha V. Kamath. Venkatesh Rao and Ravindra Prabhu sang some entertaining numbers.


After lunch, Sandhya Shenoy of Mangalore presented a comedy show, following which she was felicitated. The Krishna troupe led by Pravin Godkindi, the internationally renowned artiste, also performed on stage, and Pravin Godkindi was later felicitated. A talk by Ganesh Rai followed, after which he was honored by Mahesh Prabhu. A mimicry show by Vasudev Kamath and his troupe also formed part of the event.


Vice President Ramdas Kini proposed the vote of thanks. A raffle draw marked the end of the programme. RJ Avinash Kamath of Big FM had flown in from Mangalore to compere the event. Scholastic awards were given away to deserving students on the occasion.
