Mangalorean Dancy D’Souza invited to speak at Ohio state highway patrol at Columbus

Columbus, Feb 15, 2020: Office of Criminal Justice Services, Sophia Papadimos invited eloquent Dancy D’Souza to share her lived experiences of Labor Trafficking and Debt Bondage to Ohio State Highway Patrol on Human Trafficking at Columbus on February 13, 2020.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is an internationally accredited agency whose mission is to protect life and property, promote traffic safety and provide professional public safety services with respect, compassion, and unbiased professionalism.
Dancy D’Souza said; the Governor’s Ohio Task Force on Human Trafficking is one step ahead of the game on human trafficking as they believe in precaution rather than cure. Engaging survivors to educate, empower, and enlighten law enforcement agencies to identify victims from this horrendous epidemic and prosecute the perpetrators is my mission.
Michelle Hannan from the Salvation Army spoke on building rapport with Human Trafficking Survivors. She closely works with Harold and Dancy D’Souza on this subject.
Organizing a full day training program for the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Human Trafficking to identify red flags in saving victims and inviting speakers to share their lived experiences is one of the best ways to end modern day slavery; shared Dancy D’Souza.
These training programs has cultivated positive outcomes in the past. A regular traffic stop turned into a rescue mission for one Ohio State Highway Patrol Officer.
Dancy D’Souza is a Co-Founder of Eyes Open International a non-profit organization focused on prevention, education, protection, and empowerment of community members globally.
The D’Souza family believes in fixing the problem, not the blame. This family has accepted the stigma to save victims. Today Bradly their older son enjoys working for Tesla, Rohan for Apple, and Harold is a survivor-advocate and motivational speaker.
